EVERYONE DESERVES A BETTER LIFE

One billion people in developed countries live a life of abundance, with access to nutrition, housing, health, education, and leisure. The other seven billion, quite rightly, want the same.

The most pressing question of our time is: how can we ensure a decent standard of living for everyone on the planet, while protecting the environment and mitigating climate change.

History shows us that the wealth of nations was built with the power of engines. Steam engines in the First Industrial Revolution replaced human and animal muscle power, driving the development of agriculture, manufacturing, construction, and transportation. Later, they generated electricity to power entire cities.

It’s no coincidence that GDP per capita is directly linked to per capita energy consumption, as shown in the graphics.

It's clear to us that energy is the key to universal well-being. To achieve a European standard of living, we need to double the world's average energy consumption from 80 GJ to 160 GJ per capita.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) shows that 90% of the world's primary energy comes from fuels, but the average efficiency of converting that energy into useful power is only one-third.

We simply cannot double the world's primary energy sources. The only solution is to double the efficiency of energy conversion into power.

OUR MISSION

EFFICENCY TO CHANGE THE WORLD

The conversion of fuel into mechanical work and electricity is done by engines.

Doubling engine efficiency not only doubles the amount of useful energy available but also cuts the cost in half, making it affordable for low-income households around the world.

By focusing on clean fuels, PRIMAE engines promote human development while protecting the environment and combating climate change.
